It’s time to re-invest in our own humanity. Community organizations help make communities healthy. Healthy communities make up a strong democracy, good citizens, and workers. Give to your local or national community organizations that further change and growth in our country. Lets talk about #GivingTuesday. The ACLU: For almost 100 years, the ACLU has worked to defend and preserve the individual rights and liberties guaranteed by the Constitution and laws of the United States. If you live in this country and respect the constitution and its laws, support the ACLU.
It Gets Better Project: The It Gets Better Project’s mission is to communicate to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender youth around the world that it gets better, and to create and inspire the changes needed to make it better for them.
RAINN: RAINN (Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network) is the nation’s largest anti-sexual violence organization. The last few months have made it hard on women. Elected officials have allowed and been verbally abusive to women in the name of being too PC. We cannot let it go any more.
The Girl Scouts: The Girl Scouts build girls of courage, confidence and character, who make the world a better place. Through activities in science and technology, business and economic literacy, and outdoor and environmental awareness.
Smith Mohlman Kids Foundation: Consider joining Smith Mohlman partners and associates at Smith Mohlman Kids Foundation or in supporting Go Red for the American Heart Association. The partners of Smith Mohlman created the Smith Mohlman Kids Foundation. At Smith Mohlman Kids Foundation, our mission is to improve the safety of children in our community. A portion of every legal fee we earn is donated to the Foundation. The Foundation’s first campaign is an effort to educate the public on the dangers of texting while driving. It is also working to give bike helmets to kids who otherwise may never get one.
